It is a functional derivative of azelaic acid produced by condensation with glycine. It can be used as a sebostatic, a skin brightener, a moisturiser and to give suppleness to skin. It is indicated in products for skin that is greasy, seborrheic, impure, dehydrated or with melanic marks.
